Biomechanist Test Engineer at ARCCA

Erik Backstrom is a performance specialist at Epic Sports Biomechanics, LLC, where responsibilities include leading the engineering for baseball performance and conducting motion capture analysis since July 2019. In addition, Erik serves as a biomechanist and test engineer at ARCCA, consulting for the NHL on engineering tests. Previous experience includes an undergraduate researcher role at the University of Rochester, focusing on bone graft healing, and a teaching assistant position for MATLAB in biomedical engineering. Erik has also completed a research internship at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, contributing to molecular osteoporosis studies. Erik holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester, obtained in 2018.
