Jie Yang

Jie YANG is a Research Engineer at ArcelorMittal since February 2023, focusing on R&D related to structural steel, steel-concrete, and steel-timber solutions, as well as circularity and reuse of construction products. Prior to this role, Jie YANG served as a Research Scientist (post-doc) at the University of Luxembourg from February 2020 to January 2023, where responsibilities included supporting research on steel and composite structures and teaching courses on bridges and steel building design. Jie YANG was also a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bradford between May 2016 and January 2020, engaging in structural testing and numerical simulations, particularly on the structural and fire resistance of reusable steel/concrete composite floor systems. Jie YANG holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Engineering from the University of Bradford, obtained in 2017.
