Michael Hunt

Michael Hunt currently serves as the Tax Director for the UK at ArcelorMittal, a position held since August 2023. Before this role, Michael was the Head of Group Tax at Network Rail from June 2021 to August 2023 and previously held the title of Head of Tax at Notting Hill Genesis between January 2019 and June 2021. Michael’s career at Network Rail began in September 2010, where duties evolved from Deputy Head of Tax to Tax Manager - Assets, focusing on total capital spend analysis. Prior to this, Michael worked as a Senior Consultant at LECG for a brief period after its acquisition of a previous employer and as a Senior Consultant at Bourne Business Consulting LLP, specializing in capital allowances. Academic achievements include an MA in African & Asian History from SOAS University of London and a 2:1 MA in English & History from the University of Aberdeen.
