Nicolas PERSEM

Scientist

Nicolas Persem has extensive experience in the field of mechanical engineering and materials processing, beginning with a position as Ingénieur simulation at ArcelorMittal Bourg en Bresse in 2006, where the focus was on numerical modeling of high carbon steel shaping processes. From 2006 to 2016 at ArcelorMittal, Nicolas Persem coordinated R&D activities for Bars & Wires and managed research projects on manufacturing processes such as hot rolling and cold drawing, utilizing finite element calculation methods. As a Scientist, responsibilities included overseeing Wire Additive Manufacturing and collaboration with long downstream plants. In a role as Responsable développement fabrication additive arc fil, involvement in a collaborative project with MX3D led to the construction of Amsterdam's first pedestrian bridge using additive manufacturing technology. Educational qualifications include a DUT in Génie Mécanique et Productique, an engineering diploma from Ecole nationale d'Ingénieurs de Metz, and a specialized master's in numerical mechanics from Mines Paris - PSL.
