Robin Guiz

Head of Metallurgical Process Department

Robin Guiz is an experienced R&D engineer and metallurgical process expert with a strong background in materials science and engineering. Starting as an engineer assistant at THERMI LYON, Robin developed a nitrocarburizing process and conducted metallographic characterization. At ARMINES, research focused on the precipitation state in micro-alloyed steels using transmission electron microscopy. Currently, as the Head of the Metallurgical Process Department at ArcelorMittal, Robin manages R&D projects for high-strength steel applications, optimizing metallurgical routes and investigating weldability properties. Previous roles include R&D engineer at Acciaierie Bertoli Safau SpA managing projects for automotive steel grades and conducting a PhD research on secondary carbides precipitation in refractory austenitic steels. Education includes a master's degree and a PhD from Université de Lorraine and Ecole nationale supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne, respectively.
