Sofie Vanrostenberghe

Sofie Vanrostenberghe has extensive experience in the field of engineering and research, particularly in metallurgy and applications for the steel industry. Currently serving as Department Manager Applications & Solutions, Senior Project Leader, and Program Manager at OCAS/ArcelorMittal Global R&D Gent since April 2010, Sofie has significantly contributed to various projects. Prior roles include General Manager at the Design & Forming Centre from May 2008 to January 2013 and several engineering positions at ArcelorMittal from March 2002 to April 2008, including research engineer and engineer specializing in stamping assistance for automotive customers. Sofie began the career as a research engineer in forming at OCAS NV from September 1998 to February 2002. Sofie holds a Master's degree in Engineering Material Sciences with a focus on Metallurgy from Ghent University, completed between 1992 and 1998.
