Michael McNerney

Michael McNerney is a technology executive and entrepreneur with extensive experience in cybersecurity, finance, and national security. They served as a Cyber Policy Advisor at the United States Department of Defense and were a Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State. Michael is currently the Chief Risk & Security Officer at a stealth startup, and they previously held roles such as CEO & Co-Founder of Efflux Systems and Senior Vice President of Security at Resilience. As a co-founder and Board Chair of the Institute for Security and Technology, they have established the organization as a leading think tank in cybersecurity policy. Michael holds a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law.
