Meredith Sargent

Meredith Sargent has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Meredith started their career in 2000 as a Senior Associate at Baker & McKenzie, where they worked until 2002. Meredith then served as the Director of Legal and Commercial at Aker Solutions Chemetics from 2002 to 2006, handling legal and commercial risk management and contract negotiation. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as a Principal at Goto Sargent Group, focusing on project and commercial management for industrial engineering projects.

In 2010, Meredith joined Jenkins Marzban Logan LLP as an Associate, and continued until 2012. Meredith then became the President of Surespan Power Ltd. in 2012, where they were responsible for the construction of transmission lines and substations. From 2011 to the present, they have also been the Director of Goto Sargent Law Corporation, specializing in construction law and dispute resolution.

Additionally, Meredith has held executive roles at Surespan Group and its subsidiary Surespan Wind Energy Services, serving as the VP of Commercial Performance. Meredith is currently the Commercial Manager at Arch Engineers Ltd, which specializes in structural design and engineering.

Meredith's work experience also includes being a Governor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology since 2020. Overall, they have a proven track record in legal, commercial, and project management across multiple sectors.

Meredith Sargent completed their education in a progressive manner. Meredith attended Murtoa High School from 1977 to 1983 for their secondary education. Following that, they enrolled at Monash University, where they studied Chemistry and Law from 1983 to 1988. Meredith obtained a degree in LLB BSc during their time at Monash University. Later, they continued their academic journey at the University of Melbourne, where they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) from 1991 to 1994.
