Matthew Round has a diverse work experience in risk management and financial services consultancy. Matthew is currently the Chief Risk Officer at Archa since November 2018. Prior to this, they worked as an Approved Advisory at Advisory Board Centre starting from October 2019. Matthew also served as the Director of Allround Consulting Pty Ltd, a boutique financial services consultancy operating in Australia and New Zealand, providing credit risk and operations expertise.

Before Allround Consulting, Matthew held the position of Head of Retail Credit Risk at The Co-operative Bank plc from June 2014 to September 2016. Prior to that, they were the General Manager - Credit Risk at ME Bank from March 2011 to February 2014.

Matthew Round's career began at GE Money, where they took on various roles such as Senior Portfolio Risk Manager, Asia from April 2009 to March 2011, Mortgage Insurance Dispute Resolution Leader from February 2008 to March 2009, and Risk Manager from January 2005 to February 2008. Matthew also gained experience as a Senior Risk Analyst at GE Money Home Lending - UK from September 2002 to January 2005, and as a Risk Analyst at First National Motor Finance from September 2000 to September 2002.

Matthew Round attended the University of Birmingham from 1997 to 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Business/Managerial Economics.
