Chris Hwang

Jr. Associate, Airframe Design & Analysis

Chris Hwang is a Mechanical Engineering student at The Johns Hopkins University, expected to graduate in 2025. Currently serving as a Jr. Associate in Airframe Design & Analysis at Archer, Chris supports the engineering design of the Midnight eVTOL aircraft. Involvement with Blue Jay Racing at Johns Hopkins includes roles such as Advisor, Front Drivetrain Lead Engineer, Outreach Manager, and Frame Engineer, focusing on design and integration of complex systems for a competitive vehicle. Chris has also contributed as an Undergraduate Student Researcher in fluid mechanics at the Fluid Transport Lab, engaged in projects related to manufacturing processes in the Hemker Lab, and held internships, including at Solar Ship Inc., where designs for hybrid eVTOL airships were developed.
