Chris Mitchell

Director Of Powertrain Software at Archer

Chris Mitchell has over 35 years of work experience in various engineering and management roles. Chris is currently working as the Director of Powertrain Software at Archer. Prior to that, they served as the Aerospace Powertrain Software Manager at Archer. From 2018 to 2023, they worked at Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems as the Group Manager for SW and CD/M. Before that, they were the Manager of Software Engineering at XKL, LLC from 2015 to 2017. Chris also has experience as the Design Engineering Manager at Avtech Corp from 2009 to 2015 and as the Engineering Manager at Humanbeams from 2006 to 2008. Chris began their career as an Aerospace Engineering Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces in 1985 and later joined Honeywell, where they held roles as a Senior Manager of Engineering and a Consultant.

Chris Mitchell obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science from the University of Alberta between 1991 and 1995. In 2002 to 2005, they pursued an MBA in Operations at the University of Phoenix. In 1991 and 1992, they earned a certificate in Aerospace Engineering from the Canadian Armed Forces School of Aerospace Engineering. Recently, from 2018 to 2021, Chris completed a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from ColumbiaX.
