Marcus Kimura

Marcus Kimura is a seasoned aerospace software engineering professional with extensive experience in flight controls and software platform management. Currently serving as Flight Controls Platform Software Manager at Archer since March 2023, Marcus previously held significant roles at Lilium as Engineering Manager and Team Leader for Software Platforms, and at Volocopter GmbH as Senior Software Engineer, focusing on safety-critical embedded software development for the VoloCity program. Marcus's expertise includes software process definition according to DO-178C standards, having contributed at Embraer as both Embedded Software Engineer and V&V Engineer for the KC-390 program, where responsibilities encompassed software architecture, requirements specification, and extensive testing both in simulation and real hardware environments. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica and a Bachelor of Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
