Pedro Torres

Pedro Torres is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in flight control systems and engineering roles across multiple companies. Currently a Staff GNC Engineer at Archer since March 2025, Pedro previously held the position of Senior Flight Control Laws Engineer at Lilium, where responsibilities included technical leadership in lateral-directional control laws, requirements derivation, and validation. Previously, at Amazilia Aerospace, Pedro focused on mission and vehicle management for unmanned aerial vehicles and developed redundancy concepts for critical functions. Earlier roles included significant contributions at Akka Technologies, Mitsubishi Aircraft, and Airbus, emphasizing project coordination, certification support, and team mentoring in flight control laws. Pedro's career began with internships at USIMINAS and TSA, followed by a solid educational foundation with a Master's degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica and a Bachelor's degree in Control Engineering and Automation from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais.
