Richard O'Donnell is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in flight control development for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft as a Controls Engineer at Archer since December 2018. In parallel, Richard has been a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Florida since May 2013, focusing on the control systems of morphing small unmanned aerial systems and contributing to research in fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and flight mechanics under the guidance of Kamran Mohseni. Richard holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, along with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, and an Associate of Arts in Engineering from Gulf Coast State College.
