Simon Hedderman

Simon Hedderman is currently a Staff Flight Test Engineer at Archer, leveraging extensive experience as a lead flight test engineer with a strong background in aero engine test and development. Prior to this role, Simon worked at Rolls-Royce from 2020 to 2025, where they led major engine development flight test campaigns and managed certification processes. Simon earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University. Additionally, they participated in the ROBOBOAT Autonomous Transatlantic Sailboat project as an undergraduate researcher and served as a Temporary Supervisor at Dun Laoghaire Marina early in their career.
