Soane Sheu

Soane Sheu is a Senior Battery Mechanical Engineer at Archer since September 2021, focusing on battery thermal runaway propagation prevention design and testing. Prior experience includes serving as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Jacobs from November 2019 to August 2021, where responsibilities encompassed designing components for NASA’s Portable Life Support System, developing prototypes, and collaborating across multiple engineering teams. Earlier roles include an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Material Selection at The University of Texas at Austin and a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Dell EMC, where Soane contributed notable designs such as a cost-saving coin lock for server systems. Soane earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2019.
