Wayne Shade

Wayne Shade is a Principal Certification Engineer for Electric Engine and Powerplant at Archer Aviation, where they have been contributing since 2022. With extensive experience in the aerospace sector, Wayne previously served as Director of Engineering at Chromalloy from 2012 to 2015 and held various leadership roles at Gulfstream Aerospace from 2019 to 2022, including ODA Administrator. They are also the Owner and Consulting DER/RS DER at Innovative Consulting Solutions, Inc since 1998. Wayne's foundational education includes a Master's degree from Penn State Great Valley and a Bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, both completed in 1984.
