Ferdinand Ferch has over thirteen years of work experience, starting in 2007 as an Internship at Kisima Farm Ltd. In 2010, they became a Laboratory Technician at Merck Serono, Research GRC Department. In 2012, they began working as a Cell Culture Technician at Oncologic Research for Boehringer Ingelheim, Department of Pharmacology. In 2017, they became a Campaign Manager independently. In 2018, they worked as Sales & Business Development Manager Austria for SOPHiA GENETICS and as Assistant to the CEO for Novalis International Trading GmbH, where their duties included scouting of new apartments, property valuation, feasibility studies, conceptualising options for student housing, and improved negotiation skills. Currently, they are a Business Development Manager Austria and South Germany for ArcherDX, Inc.

Ferdinand Ferch has a varied educational background. In 2021, they obtained an HMX Pro Genetics online certificate program from Harvard Medical School. From 2017-2018, they earned a MicroMaster from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Bioinformatics. From 2015-2016, they earned a Master of Science in Biotechnology, Bioprocessing & Business Management from the University of Warwick. From 2009-2014, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Lebensmittel- und Biotechnologie from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). From 2007-2009, they attended WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Consultative Selling Training and Strategic Account Development Training from Richardson in 2020, as well as three edX certifications in 2018.
