Ying Chen

Ying focuses her practice in the areas of business counseling, business immigration, and global mobility, mergers and acquisitions, and complex commercial litigation and arbitration. Her services span across a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, alternative and renewable energy, financial, and real estate, among others. She represents Chinese corporations doing business with or in the U.S. and provides legal services to U.S. corporations doing business with or in China. As a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese, and with years of experience practicing law in China, Ying is able to interpret and explain the special issues facing Chinese entities doing business with and/or in the U.S., and vice versa.

Ying has served as counsel for several corporations in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and commercial litigation cases. She represents clients in complex litigation matters with an emphasis on commercial, corporate and financial transactions, including shareholder disputes, contract disputes, and real estate investment disputes.

Ying has significant experience handling mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence investigations, including the pre-IPO DD on the U.S. subsidiaries of Chinese corporations going public in China. She advises companies in the acquisition and sale of assets and equity. Ying handles business and regulatory review of cross-border transactional projects in China for U.S. and multinational corporations. She also handles business and regulatory counseling of investment and other transactional projects in the U.S. for Chinese corporations and investors.

Ying works with clients to draft, negotiate and review various transaction documents, such as arbitration agreements, confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, supplier agreements, shareholder agreements, and real estate agreements.

Prior to joining Archer, Ying served as a managing partner for BOGC Legal PLLC in Houston, TX. Previously, she was a Counsel at one of the largest law firms in China.
