Chief Risk Engineering and Resilience Officer at Archipelago

Scott Lawson is currently the Chief Risk Engineering and Resilience Officer at Archipelago, a position they have held since 2019. Prior to this, they were the Director of Disaster Management at Ardurra Group, LLC from 2018 to 2019. From 2015 to 2018, they were the Federal Director at PES Structural Engineers, where they were responsible for the design studio focused on Federal and State government agencies. Before this, they were the Senior Vice President at Atkins from 1999 to 2015, where they directed the operations for the Design & Federal business unit, managed the operational and financial performance of the business unit, and drove the functional and business integration of the divisions.

Scott Lawson attended Clemson University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agricultural Engineering. Scott then returned to Clemson University from 1989 to 1991 to obtain a Master's degree in Civil Engineering. Finally, they attended Stanford University from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Engineering.
