Alex Will

Alex Will is the Chief Technology Officer at ArchitectNow. Alex has been with the company since November 2018 and in that time has served as Team Lead and Senior Development Engineer. In their time at ArchitectNow, they have led multiple projects that ended in the +/- 10% of the estimated project cost, led multiple project estimations and development of proposals, architected and lead a team to develop an application to reduce duplicate contractor data by 60%+ in a survey system, and architected multiple client projects to allow instant failover in case of a data center failure in Azure. Alex has also given numerous training sessions on Git, .NET, MongoDB, and Agile methodologies.

Prior to joining ArchitectNow, Alex worked as a Software Application Engineer at Hunter Engineering Company from March 2018 to November 2018. In that role, they helped bring proven software practices to an established organization by using Agile methodologies to improve transparency of work, quantify work to be done, and bring other helpful processes. Alex also encouraged a learning culture by encouraging communication across software teams in the same department and other departments. Alex started a book club to help influence collaboration. Additionally, they redesigned/wrote existing applications to be cloud services and used the .NET framework to write micro services that were being deployed to the client machines and to Azure.

Alex Will earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
