Ryan Owens

Ryan Owens has a diverse range of work experience in software development and leadership roles. Ryan currently serves as the Development Team Lead and Software Engineer at ArchitectNow, where they lead an international team of software engineers in an agile environment. Ryan is responsible for working with clients, stakeholders, and end users to achieve software and business goals. Ryan has expertise in maintaining backlogs, setting up dev-ops build and release pipelines, and architecting and deploying cloud-native applications. Ryan is skilled in building and maintaining web APIs and applications using various technologies such as Dotnet, Angular, and Azure Power Platform. Ryan has also upgraded legacy applications and worked with multiple database solutions. Prior to ArchitectNow, Ryan worked as a Senior Software Developer at UNCOMN, where they had direct and indirect client interactions and solved problems within budget and time constraints. Ryan developed and deployed Machine Learning models, containerized data pipelines, mobile applications, and microservice architecture software solutions. Ryan also led projects, implemented security and testing pipelines, and performed database optimization. Before that, they gained experience as a Software Developer at the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, where they contributed to data collection, authentication systems, forum software platforms, and desktop apps. Ryan started their career as a Computer Science Tutor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Ryan Owens obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, which they pursued from 2013 to 2018. In addition, they obtained a certification in AWS Concepts from Linux Academy in January 2019.
