Christopher Boyd has over 18 years of work experience in the electrical industry. Christopher began their career in 2004 as an Electrician & Foreman at Quinney Electric, Inc. where they managed crews and organized equipment, tools, and material for daily work tasks. In 2012, Christopher moved to the City of San Antonio as an Electrical & Sign Inspector, where they performed on-site inspections for compliance and issued written orders for the correction of defects in material or workmanship and any other violation of codes and ordinances. In 2015, Christopher started Boyd Electrical Design & Consulting as President, where they created, communicated and implemented the vision, mission and overall direction of the company, as well as implemented new business services that attracted new clients and grew sales. In 2016, Christopher was a City Council Member at the City of Converse. In 2017, Christopher was a Project Manager at Taylor Construction Management, where they managed projects and effectively influenced, negotiated, and communicated with business partners, contractors and vendors. Additionally, Christopher was an Owner Representative at Texas A&M University in 2017. In 2018, Christopher moved to Walker Engineering as a Senior Project Manager, where they oversaw the lifecycle of projects whether ground-up construction or addition/renovation (Greenfield/Brownfield). Finally, Christopher is currently a National Project Director at ArchKey Solutions.
Christopher Boyd attended San Antonio College from 2012 to 2012 and completed undergraduate coursework. Christopher then attended the Rackspace Open Cloud Academy in 2013. In 2014, they obtained IADC RigPass and SafeLandUSA certifications from the International Association of Drilling Contractors. In 2013, they obtained CSSS - System Support Specialist certification from CompTIA, Certified Linux Administrator certification from SUSE and Novell, CompTIA Linux+ certification, CompTIA Systems Support Specialist - CSSS Stackable Certification, LPIC-1 certification, CompTIA A+ certification, and CompTIA Net+ certification, all from CompTIA. In 2012, they obtained Electrical Inspector certification from the International Code Council, and in 2010 they obtained Master Electrician certification from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Christopher completed their education in 2018, earning a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Leadership and Management from Texas State University.
