Alexander D.

Alexander D. has a wealth of work experience. From 2018 to 2022, they held various roles in different organizations. In 2018, they founded ClosingTime, a project that connected hungry Londoners with restaurants offering half-price closing time discounts. The project was built using React, Typescript, ExpressJS, and MongoDB and deployed using GitHub Actions CI/CD. In 2019, they held a Software Engineer role at Conjure, where they developed and released a React Native app along with a Firebase backend integrating with the iZettle Webhook API. Alexander also configured Bitbucket pipelines CI/CD pipeline to reduce time spent deploying and automate testing when merging branches. Additionally, they held a Software Engineer role at Quanterium and a Hack-a-Project Intern role at Facebook. In 2020, they were a Teaching Assistant at King's College London and a Software Engineer at UFirst Group, where they quickly adapted to working with Elixir and PHP with no prior experience and pushed for and implemented dependabot to save approx 25 hours of developer time per sprint and preemptively prevent security vulnerabilities. In 2021, they held a Senior Software Engineer role at crowdhouse.ch and a Software Architect role at Archlet, where they led the architecture and implementation of a full-stack React+node+python application in a team of 8 and re-architected backend components to introduce GraphQL and testing to improve reliability and developer experience. Alexander also mentored other team members with React, Typescript, testing, as well as Kubernetes. In 2022, they held a Senior Software Engineer role at Archlet.

Alexander D. attended King's School in Macclesfield from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained A levels in Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics. Alexander then attended King's College London from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
