Bas Slotema

Bas Slotema is an emerging researcher with a solid background in engineering physics and subatomic particle studies. Currently serving as a PhD candidate at ARCNL since September 2024, Bas has previously completed an internship at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics, focusing on edge localized mode suppression in tokamaks using the JOREK code. Prior experience includes a year as a student researcher at Nikhef, investigating neutrino interactions and their effects on detector resolution, along with roles in hospitality. Academically, Bas holds a Master of Engineering in Engineering Physics from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven and a Master’s degree in Astro- and Particle Physics from Radboud University, both achieved with commendable grades.
