Stefan Appel

Stefan Appel is the Head of Quality Management at arcomed. Prior to this, they were with Früh Verpackungstechnik AG from January 2010 to September 2017, where they held the position of Application Engineer.

At Früh, Stefan was responsible for optimizing processes in the field of flexible packaging for medical / pharmaceutical devices and food packaging. This involved preparing packaging development and manufacturing technical documentation, participating in customer and supplier audits, managing customer complaint investigations, and more. Stefan was also responsible for personnel management in the production area, and oversaw the creation of SOPs, specifications and validation plans.

During their time at Früh, Stefan gained valuable experience working on projects in the area of flexible packaging for companies such as Roche, Novartis and Genentech. This experience has served him well in their current role at arcomed, where they are responsible for quality management and ensuring that all products meet the highest standards.

Stefan Appel has a background in environmental management concept according to ISO 14001:2015 from SQS Switzerland. Stefan also has a degree in Manager Regulatory Affairs from TÜV Süd Stuttgart. Additionally, Appel has experience as a Risk Manager Medical Technology and is certified in quality management from TÜV Süd Stuttgart. Stefan also has experience in the Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) from TÜV Süd Munich.

They work with German Salcedo - Head of Business Management, LATAM, Gyula Vertesy - Head of Business Management, Middle & Eastern Europe, and Andrew Pritchard - Head of Business Management in UK, Ireland & Netherlands. Stefan Appel reports to Andre Delgadinho, Managing Director, Head of Business Management Australia & New Zealand.
