Daniel Saffer has extensive experience in the fields of manufacturing, automation, and engineering. Currently serving as the Manager of Smart Manufacturing and Automation at Arconic since November 2016, Saffer has also held various managerial positions within the company, including Manager of Electrical Engineering and Control and Sr Manager of Automation. Prior to Arconic, Saffer worked at Alcoa as a Technical Specialist and Section Leader, as well as a Process Control Engineer. Earlier experience includes roles as a Process Control Engineer at Weyerhaeuser and educational experience as an Adjunct Professor at Saint Vincent College. Saffer earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
