Cameron Stuart has a diverse range of work experience. Cameron started their career as a Research Assistant at the Orthopaedic and Injury Biomechanics Lab in 2011, where they conducted a retrospective injury analysis. In 2012, they worked as a Student Engineer at Synaptic Analysis Consulting Group, collaborating on accident reconstructions and designing a hockey helmet to measure head acceleration during impact. In 2013, they served as a Student Intern at Aesculap, analyzing biomechanical properties of spinal implant designs and intervertebral disc properties. In 2014, they co-founded Santé West and held the role until 2016. In 2015, they joined Helios Global Technologies Ltd as a Mitacs Accelerate Intern, focusing on prototype construction and testing of a hockey helmet liner. That same year, they also co-founded Hatching Health, an organization aimed at bringing healthcare and technical professionals together to solve medical problems. Currently, they work at Arc'teryx Equipment, starting as a Design Engineer in 2017 and progressing to the role of Manager, Research and Engineering in 2023. In their current role, they apply their engineering knowledge to research and design outdoor equipment and apparel, oversees product evaluation and manufacturing processes, and collaborates with technical teams.
Cameron Stuart has a strong academic background, earning a Master's Degree in Injury Biomechanics from The University of British Columbia between 2014 and 2017. Following this, in 2021 and 2022, they pursued Directed Studies in Thermophysiology at Simon Fraser University. Prior to their master's program, Cameron completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering at The University of British Columbia from 2008 to 2014.
