Laura Appleton's work experience begins in 2004 as a Snowboard Instructor at The Lake Louise Ski Resort. Laura then worked as a Creative Consultant at Propel London from 2006 to 2007, focusing on talent acquisition. In 2010, they joined Gameday Management Group - VANOC 2010 as a Venue Systems Manager for the BCIT Whistler Olympic Park departure hub. Laura also had multiple roles at lululemon athletica from 2010 to 2013, including Recruiter, Lead Product Recruiter, and Product Recruitment Manager. In 2013, they worked as a Talent Acquisition Director at Spence Diamonds, followed by a role as a Project Manager at Burnkit from 2013 to 2014. Since 2015, Laura has been with Arc'teryx Equipment, first as a Talent Acquisition and Development Manager, then as a Senior Manager of People & Culture, and currently as a Senior Director of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Management.

Laura Appleton attended Bournemouth University from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a BA Hons degree in Interactive Media Production. Prior to that, they attended Shrewsbury 6th Form College from 1999 to 2001, focusing on Business Studies, Design, and Media Studies. Laura completed their secondary education at Meole Brace Secondary School from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, Laura participated in the Landmark Forum and Landmark Advanced programs at Landmark, although specific years were not provided.
