Mitchell Eckensweiler has a diverse work experience in the design industry. Mitchell is currently working at Arc'teryx Equipment, where they hold the position of Design Director since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Arc'teryx as a Senior Designer for the Trail and System_A department from October 2021 to April 2023, and as a Senior Designer from February 2021 to October 2021.
Before joining Arc'teryx, Mitchell was a Senior Designer at The North Face, a VF Company, from September 2019 to January 2021.
Mitchell also has experience working at Nike, where they held various roles. As an Apparel Designer II in the Men's Global Running department, they worked from May 2017 to July 2019. Prior to that, they were an Apparel Designer I in the Men's Global Running department from August 2016 to May 2017. Mitchell also worked as an Apparel Designer I in the CoDE department from March 2016 to August 2016, and in the Emerging Markets department from August 2015 to February 2016.
Mitchell started their career as a Market Week Freelancer at Alexander Wang Inc. from December 2014 to February 2015. Mitchell also had a design internship at OAK from January 2014 to May 2014, and a creative internship at Anthropologie from January 2012 to March 2012.
Mitchell Eckensweiler began their education journey by attending York University from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Fine and Studio Arts. Later, in 2013, they enrolled at Parsons School of Design - The New School to further their education in the field of Fashion/Apparel Design. After a year of intensive studies, they successfully completed an Associate's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design in 2014.
