ArcticDeco was established in 2013 by Colleen Healey as a blog to document the changes made to her early-80’s family home in Iqaluit, Nunavut, Canada where she lives with her husband and child. The blog highlights interior design ideas, home renovation before & afters,  DIY projects with a focus on challenges faced by living in a remote Arctic community with limited access to supplies and contractors. It also showcases her unique design style that blends Canadian Arctic & Scandinavian designs with global ethnographic influences from the many artifacts collected on her travels.
