Tom Fleming

Tom Fleming is a highly experienced professional with a background in tech-enabled drug discovery, artificial intelligence, and bio-entrepreneurship. Tom has held a variety of roles over the past six years, starting in 2014 as a Founding Member and COO of Panacea Innovation (née Oxford Biotech). In 2016, they were awarded a Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Industrial Fellowship, and held Visiting Research Scientist roles at Evotec and GSK. In 2018, they became Co-Founder and COO of Arctoris, a tech-enabled drug discovery company. In 2019, they were a SME Leader for the Royal Academy of Engineering, and a CDL-Oxford Artificial Intelligence 2019/20 Cohort for Creative Destruction Lab. In 2020, they joined Tech Nation as a Tech Nation - Applied AI.

Tom Fleming obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Biology/DNA Damage & Repair from the University of Oxford. Tom also completed a Master's research placement in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. Tom's undergraduate degree is an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Southampton. In 2022, they were awarded the Fellow designation from both the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Society of Biology.
