James Yuan

Undergraduate Robotics Software Engineer

James Yuan is a Robotics Software & Simulation Intern at arculus, a Jungheinrich company, since August 2024. Currently serving as a Student Ambassador at the University of Technology Sydney, James creates personalized programs for prospective students and promotes the Faculty of Engineering & IT through various outreach initiatives. Additional experience includes a role as a Robotics & ML Engineer at WARR, where James developed software for an autonomous navigation stack for a Mars rover, and as a Mechatronics Engineering Intern at Downer, contributing to renewable energy projects. James also has extensive coaching experience in tennis, instructing players of various ages and skill levels, while previously facilitating STEM education as an instructor at Young Engineers Australia. Academic credentials include a Master of Engineering in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science from the University of Technology Sydney.
