Rieke Smit

Rieke Smit is a Social-Media-Editor at tagesschau and a journalist with a focus on engaging young audiences and fostering innovation. Rieke has previously held various editorial roles, including working as an editor for Uttryck Magazine and gaining valuable experience through internships at renowned media organizations such as ZDF and Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg. Rieke also actively contributed to community management and media education initiatives with #UseTheNews and served on the executive board of European Youth Press. Rieke completed a Joint Master's Degree at the University of Groningen and Uppsala University and holds a Bachelor's degree from Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal.
