Ardens is a Catholic missionary movement helping university students come to know Jesus and go on his mission.

Founded in 2026 by the leadership team behind a decade of FOCUS missionary work in Europe, Ardens carries forward a proven method of accompaniment, Catholic Bible study, and missionary discipleship — now under a European-led organisation, rooted in the dioceses and chaplaincies it serves.

The name comes from Luke 24:32 — "Were not our hearts burning within us?" — the moment two disciples recognised the risen Christ in the breaking of bread. It is the encounter we hope every student we meet will have.

Where we serve:
Ardens partners with bishops and university chaplains to send teams of missionaries onto campuses across Europe — beginning in Belfast, Cork, Passau, and Vienna, with growth planned across Ireland, the UK, Germany, and Austria.

What we do:
• Walk alongside students in friendship, prayer, and Catholic Bible study
• Form missionary disciples who lead others to Christ
• Support local Catholic chaplaincies as long-term partners
• Train young European missionaries to serve in their own cultures and languages

How it is funded:
Ardens is a registered German Verein (Ardens e.V.), supported by Mission Partners across Europe and the United States. Every missionary fundraises their own team of supporters who pray for and contribute to the mission.

Join the mission as a missionary, a Mission Partner, a chaplaincy partner, or a friend in prayer.
