Benjamin Gent

Benjamin Gent, CFA, is the Managing Director at Ares Management, with extensive experience in origination, underwriting, and special credits spanning over 18 years. They co-founded and built SMBC’s Asset-Based Lending platform and have a proven track record in cross-border transactions and complex financial solutions. Benjamin's previous roles include Vice President of Special Credits and Executive Director at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, as well as experience at Fidelity Investments and Corporate Portfolio Analytics. They hold a BA in Economics from Boston College, earned in 2005.
