Michael Steele is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the finance and legal sectors. Currently serving as a Partner and Head of Ares Digital Infrastructure at Ares Management since March 2025, Michael has previously held prominent positions, including President and Chief Legal and Administrative Officer at GLP Capital Partners from April 2023 to November 2025. Prior to this, Michael was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis from September 2015 to April 2023 and at Freshfields from February 2008 to September 2015. Michael began the career as an Associate at Allens from August 2004 to February 2008. Michael holds Bachelor's Degrees in Finance and Law from Bond University.
