Ruby Lau

Ruby Lau is a Principal at Ares Management Corporation since October 2023, following a notable tenure at Credit Suisse from August 2017 to October 2023, where Ruby held multiple positions including Director and Vice President. Prior to that, Ruby served as Associate Director in Loan Markets & Syndications and Senior Associate in both Debt Capital Markets Origination and Structured Asset Finance at Commonwealth Bank from October 2012 to August 2017. Ruby began the professional journey as an Analyst in the Diversified Institutions Division at APRA from February 2010 to October 2012 and completed a summer internship in Risk and Capital Analysis at Macquarie Group in late 2008. Ruby is a CFA Charterholder and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, with a dual Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Studies and Applied Finance from Macquarie University. Education was completed at Hornsby Girls High School prior to university studies.
