Dr. Klaus Hellmann

Dr. Klaus Hellmann has extensive work experience in the veterinary industry. Dr. Klaus is currently the Chief Veterinary Officer, Europe&Asia at Argenta. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategic Consultant at Aniserve GmbH and as a Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV) at KLIFOVET. Dr. Klaus also held various roles at KLIFOVET, including General Manager and Managing Director, where they provided strategic consultancy and regulatory affairs services. Dr. Hellmann founded and served as Managing Director at KLIFOVET GmbH Private Institute for Veterinary Clinical Development. Dr. Klaus also worked as a Private Consultant to the Animal Health Industry and as a Veterinary Technical Adviser at Pfizer GmbH. Before their career in the veterinary industry, Dr. Hellmann worked as a freelancer veterinarian and served in the Bundeswehr as an Obergefreiter. Additionally, they are a member of the Animal Welfare Committee of the Government of Upper Bavaria and the EFSA's Stakeholder Bureau.

Dr. Klaus Hellmann obtained their Diplomate degree in Veterinary Pharmacology from the European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from 2005 to 2010. Dr. Klaus also received a degree in Quality Manager and Auditor from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität (DGQ) in 2002. In 1990, they completed their State diploma and doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Veterinary University of Hannover, Germany. Prior to that, they obtained a Dr. med. vet. degree in Tiermedizin from Stiftung Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover in 1990, and a Staatsexamen degree in Tiermedizin from the same institution from 1983 to 1988. Dr. Klaus also studied Gartenbauwissenschaft at Leibniz Universität Hannover from 1982 to 1983 and completed their Abitur at Graf Stauffenberg Gymnasium Osnabrueck from 1972 to 1981. Dr. Hellmann has additional certifications such as Visionary CEO from S&P Global in 2021, Board certified Diplomate of the European College for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from ECVPT in 2005, Auditor and Quality Manager from European Organisation for Quality (EOQ) in 2002, and Board certified Veterinarian for Pharmacology and Toxicology from Bayerische Landestierärztekammer in 1995.
