Sofie van Den Abeele

Sofie Van den Abeele has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sofie currently works at Argenx as the Quality Systems Operations Lead. Prior to this, they held roles such as Quality Management System Lead and Senior Quality Associate at the same company. Before joining Argenx, Sofie worked at UZ Gent as the Coordinator of Clinical Trials in the Women's Clinic. Sofie also worked at AZ Sint-Lucas Brugge as the Coordinator of Clinical Trials in multiple departments. Sofie's career began at UZ Gent as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Phase 1 Unit. Sofie also has experience as a Quality Control Officer at CRI Labo Medische Analyse and as a Medical Sales Representative at HCM. Sofie's earliest role was as a research/lab assistant in the IVF lab at Faculteit Diergeneeskunde UGent. Overall, Sofie has a strong background in clinical research, quality management, and coordination of trials.

Sofie Van den Abeele obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Ghent University, from 2001 to 2006. Sofie also received a certificate in Process Mapping and SOP writing from RQA in 2022, as well as a certificate in Legal Basics for Clinical study contracts from ECCRT in 2017. Before attending university, they studied Latin Sciences at Sint-Andreaslyceum Sint-Kruis Brugge from 1995 to 2001.
