Greg Wurtz has extensive experience in the insurance industry. Greg started their career as a Business Analyst at Dun & Bradstreet in 1989 and worked there until 1991. Greg then joined Safeco Insurance in 1992 and held various underwriting positions, eventually being promoted to Senior Personal Lines Underwriter. During their time at Safeco, they worked on projects such as auditing the company's underwriting system and implementing new IT projects. In 2001, they joined Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. as a Business Analyst and progressed through various roles, including Director of Finance and Director of Operations. In their current role at Argo, they are responsible for managing the underwriting team and focused on providing risk management solutions to middle market retailers.
Greg Wurtz earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Oregon between 1985 and 1989. Greg later obtained an MBA in Finance from the University of Portland from 1998 to 2002. Greg also holds additional certifications, including CPCU from The Institutes CPCU Society in 1998 and Insurance Surplus Lines Broker/Agent from the State of Oregon in March 2021.
