Dan held the position of President of the Craiova branch of CNIPMMR from June 1996 to March 2003, where responsibilities included coordinating an informational system network. Dan began the career as an engineer at IIRUC from 1980 to 1989 and holds a degree in Automation and Computer Science from the Facultatea de Economie si Administrarea Afacerilor, completed from 1973 to 1979.
