Tim Hopper, MBA

Tim Hopper has a diverse work experience in various industries. Tim is currently working as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they support research-based startup formation and growth. Prior to that, they worked as an SCI Research Advocate at Duke University Health System, focusing on Spinal Cord Stimulation for Spinal Cord Injury. Tim also served as an Advisor at SpineX, a bioelectric MedTech company, and as the Owner/Principal at TBH MedTech Consulting. In addition, Tim Hopper co-founded 623 Medical, a medical device technology accelerator, and Aries, a company specializing in high filtration and breathable masks. Tim has also held leadership roles at Tyromotion, Gilero, InField Medical, and Teleflex Incorporated, where they contributed to the healthcare industry through roles such as Executive Vice President, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Co-Founder, and Vice President/General Manager.

Tim Hopper completed their MBA in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned their BBA in Marketing and Economics from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. Tim's education history also includes attending Paul D.
