Tempe Chen

Tempe Chen serves as the Chair of the Department of Pediatric Medicine and Vice Chair at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach since January 2020. In parallel, Tempe holds the position of Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at UC Irvine School of Medicine and serves as the Director of Medical Informatics at MemorialCare, specializing as a Certified Epic Physician Builder with an emphasis in Analytics. Additionally, Tempe is a Clinical Consultant for AristaMD and a Partner at Pediatric Infectology Group, Inc. Tempe's clinical experience includes serving as a Staff Physician in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Previous roles include Medical Consultant for Medcase Health @Google and a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UCLA Medical Center. Tempe completed residency at Connecticut Children's Medical Center and earned an M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, following a B.A. in MCB Immunology from the University of California, Berkeley.
