Matt Brown

Matt Brown has over 20 years of experience in the field of security. Matt currently works as the Security Director at Involta, where they manage teams in Security Architecture, Engineering, and Analysis, as well as their Security Operations Center. Prior to this, they were the Principal Security Architect at Involta, where they helped design and implement security programs for customers. Before joining Involta, Matt was the Chief Security Architect at BluPrairie. Matt also has experience working at Pearson as a Manager of Application Security and Lead Security Architect. Earlier in their career, they worked at VeriSign and Guardent as a Senior Consultant, responsible for delivering customer projects in the field of security. Matt's career began at Liberty Check Printers, where they served as a System and Network Security Administrator.

Matt Brown earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Management of Information Systems from Iowa State University - Ivy College of Business. Matt attended the university from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their degree, they obtained two certifications. In 2002, Matt obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)², and in 2012, they earned the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Lead Implementer certification from BSI.
