The insurance & risk industry struggles to know know how to address the biggest risks of our generation: extreme weather, ageing populations, biodiversity loss, refugee crises, disinformation and global supply chain collapse. We are going about solving that market failure. We’ve built a business model that is awesome at doing this systematically. We’ve earnt the trust of global players in development (UN, Gates), industry (Merck, Schneider), and insurance (AXA, Swiss Re, Lloyd’s, Generali, Dai-ichi, etc.), and now are super-charging our ambition to protect humanity’s future. ARK is Ninety's venture studio for systemic risks to people and planet. We’re picking off big systemic risk issues one at a time, working with global consortia to address seemingly intractable global risk problems via high-impact, high-value commercial ventures that combine the skills and assets of entrepreneurs, corporates and NGOs. On our workbench currently or of late are these: incentives for green energy transitions; solutions for vaccine coldchain logistics insurability; financial solutions to the housing crisis for vulnerable migrants and municipalities in Europe; public-private partnerships to drive farmers to adopt biodiversity-respectful methods; and models to increase access to modern healthcare for emerging middle-classes in Africa. On our hit-list in the months ahead: women’s safety, disinformation risk, plastic and damaged oceans. Sign up as a member of ARK at http://ark.ninety.com
