Building Arkansas's Human Infrastructure: Workforce Navigation, Civic Engagement & Civic Integration

Arkansas United (AU) is a 15-year-old, Hispanic-led nonprofit dedicated to transforming Arkansas’s opportunity residents into a decisive economic and democratic force. We serve as a trusted bridge between isolated Hispanic communities and the systems driving our state’s future. Through our network of 11 Resource Centers and 200 active Community Navigators, we provide high-touch navigation moving residents from the margins to the center of the workforce and civic systems.

What We Do:

Workforce Development: We lead the CONNECT to Work framework, a statewide public-private partnership stabilizing the workforce by addressing Social Determinants of Health. By providing wrap-around support (childcare, transportation, and mental health), we help employers reduce "workforce churn," saving an average of $13,000 per head in turnover costs.

Civic Engagement: AU has a historic record of doubling the Hispanic and Asian vote in Arkansas. We manage 3,000+ Hispanic worker members and helped pass nine "DACA" laws expanding professional licensure and higher education access.

Policy Impact: During COVID-19, AU turned the tide for public health, moving the Hispanic community from 80% of state deaths to the highest-vaccinated demographic in Arkansas.

Strategic Advocacy: We advise state initiatives to ensure policies reflect the needs of rural and subpopulations.

Our Impact by the Numbers:

3,000+ Active Hispanic worker members
200 Trained Community Navigators statewide
11 Brick-and-mortar affiliate locations
5,000+ Residents naturalized since 2010
20,000+ Annual direct service touches
2M+ Annual social media viewership

Why Connect with Us? We believe in the "Return on Relationship" (ROR). We partner with business leaders, election commissions, and educators to build a prosperous, inclusive economy. Arkansas United is a ground-game partner.
