Catherine Smith

Catherine Smith is an experienced professional in the field of analytical chemistry with a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Arizona. Currently serving as an R&D Manager at Arkema since March 2018, Catherine has effectively utilized expertise in chromatography and mass spectrometry within the Separations Lab, in addition to generating analyses to support various R&D programs and technical services. Prior roles include Senior Research Specialist at AMaSS and Research Assistant at the University of Arizona Mass Spectrometry Facility, where Catherine gained extensive experience in mass spectrometric techniques and customer collaboration. Catherine also has a background in teaching and laboratory preparation, having worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Arizona and served in multiple capacities at Hanover College and Georgia Institute of Technology, emphasizing strong communication and method development skills in the area of pharmaceuticals analysis.
