Janet Smith

Janet Smith currently serves as the Director of Communications & Crisis Preparedness for the Americas at Arkema, a role held since June 2016, where leadership includes corporate communications, crisis preparedness initiatives, and counseling senior leaders. Previously, Janet held the position of Global Leader, Public Affairs and Crisis Management at The Chemours Company from July 2015 to June 2016, contributing to the establishment of the Fortune 500 company through its spin-off from DuPont. Janet's extensive experience at DuPont spanned over a decade, culminating in the role of Global Public Affairs Leader, which involved managing crisis communications and various public affairs projects. Additional roles included Account Manager at JohnstonWells Public Relations, Communications Manager at Sequel Partners, Manager of Strategic Communications at Unum, and Manager of Public Relations at IDEXX Laboratories. Janet attended Syracuse University, earning dual Bachelor's degrees in Public Relations and Marketing.
