Lei Yang is a Research Scientist at Arkema since February 2019, where responsibilities include leading projects related to resin and application development within the waterborne innovation team and managing operations of the Cary analytical lab. Previously, as a Scientist, Lei Yang directed several complex waterborne innovation projects and evaluated new raw materials, notably developing a one-part waterborne hybrid technology for concrete coatings. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from September 2014 to February 2019, focusing on the design, synthesis, and characterization of hyperbranched polymers. Lei Yang holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2014-2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China (2010-2014).
